Fundamentals was founded in 2020 by a qualified teacher with 23 years experience teaching preschool in a classroom and specializing in Grade R since 2006.

Here at Fundamentals, we learn through technology while sticking firmly to an "old school," hands on method of learning. 

All lessons are taught in English. 

Activities are completed on hard copies and not on screen.

Fundamentals is "Real school" online. 

Choose between 3 options: Real school, Own school or Crafty babes.

EXCELLENT TEACHER SUPPORT, WHETHER ONLINE OR OFFLINE!

• OPTION 1 - "REAL SCHOOL." LIVE LESSONS (SET TIMES)  for Grades R, RR and RRR. 

• Caters to home schooling children. Live online lessons with a qualified teacher. 
• Classes take place Monday to Friday mornings. (Recordings are available as well as offline support for absent students to catch up).
• GRADE R - 2 hour class with  2 X 10 minute breaks between subjects.
• GRADE RR - 1 hour class with 1 X 10 minute break between subjects.
• GRADE RRR - 30 minute class with no breaks.
• Maximum 8 children per class.
• SUBJECTS: Literacy, Numeracy, Life Skills and Art. 
• CAPS curriculum
• Fun, interactive, LIVE lessons which include hard copy worksheets, music, stories, Weekly Bible story, speaking, listening, drawing, colouring, writing, cutting, pasting, painting, crafting, science, concrete learning and more.
• Lessons take place on Zoom. Worksheets (Black & white only) are emailed to the parents each week in advance for printing. The teacher uses annotation on screen to guide the students as they complete their activities.
• Prepared and pre-packed art craft materials will be couriered every month, INCLUDED IN THE FEES.
• Reward stickers earned in class will be sent to the students each month in their art packs.
• You will not be asked to purchase anything other than the basic stationery requirements, nor will you be asked to pay anything more than the monthly fees throughout the year.
• One on one quarterly assessments and reports included.

OPTION 2 - "OWN SCHOOL." (Offline option) for Grades R, RR and RRR.

• Caters to home schooling children, where a parent or caregiver guides the student. 
• SUBJECTS: Literacy, Numeracy, Life Skills and Art.  
• CAPS curriculum
• Worksheets (Black & white only) are emailed to the parents each week in advance for printing. These contain instructions on each activity for flexible unscheduled learning. Teacher support will be available should you require advice or need to ask a question.
• lessons include drawing, colouring, writing, cutting, pasting, painting and crafting.
• Prepared and pre-packed art craft materials will be couriered to you every month, INCLUDED IN THE FEES.
• You will not be asked to purchase anything other than the basic stationery requirements, nor will you be asked to pay anything more than the monthly fees throughout the year.
• Instructions for the art crafts will be posted on the WhatsApp "Own School" group each week.
• One on one quarterly assessments and reports included.

OPTION 3 - "CRAFTY BABES." Highly recommended for toddlers - 2-3 years/Grade RRRR or as an extra for older children up to Grade R, attending school elsewhere.

• 8 Art crafts per month (2 per week)
• Prepared and pre-packed art craft materials will be couriered to you every month in advance.
• Live craft classes every Thursday and Friday morning (Recordings and offline options are available as well).
• Great for developing hand eye co-ordination and skills before attending preschool.
