Fundamentals was founded by a qualified teacher with 23 years experience teaching preschool in a classroom. As more and more parents begin to explore their home-schooling options for educating their children, sometimes there is concern that the level of education may not compare to that of a brick and mortar school. As a teacher, I firmly believe that children learn best by being actively involved. Here at Fundamentals, we learn through technology while sticking firmly to an "old school," hands on method of learning. All lessons are taught in English. Activities are completed on hard copies and not by dragging a finger on a screen or by using a computer mouse and keyboard. Fundamentals is "Real school" online. NOW THIS HOW WE HOMESCHOOL!

• OPTION 1 - "REAL SCHOOL." LIVE LESSONS (SET TIMES)  for Grade RRR, Grade RR and Grade R. 

• Caters to home schooling children. Very personal experience.
• Classes take place Monday to Friday mornings. (Recordings are available for absent students or flexible unscheduled learning).
• 2 hour class with  2 short breaks between subjects for Grade R.
• 1 hour and 10 minute class with 1 short break between subjects for Grade RR.
• 30 minute class with no breaks for Grade RRR.
• Maximum 8 children per class.
• SUBJECTS: Literacy, Numeracy, Life Skills, Art, Science, Bible stories (optional) and story time (most stories read from real books) "old school style."
• CAPS curriculum
• Fun, interactive, LIVE lessons which include hard copy worksheets, music, speaking, listening, drawing, colouring, writing, painting, crafting, science experiments, concrete learning and more.
• Lessons take place on Zoom. Worksheets for the week are emailed to the parents in advance for printing. As the students complete their worksheets, the teacher uses annotation on screen to guide them every step of the way.
• ART CRAFT SUPPLIES AND THE PREVIOUS MONTH'S REWARD STICKERS WILL BE COURIERED TO YOU EVERY MONTH IN ADVANCE, INCLUDED IN THE FEES.
• All term end assessments and reports included.
• SACE registered (ECD 124244892)

OPTION 2 - "CRAFTY BABES." (Highly recommended for toddlers Grade RRRR)

• 8 Art crafts per month (2 per week)
• All crafting supplies are purchased, prepared, packaged, labelled and couriered to you in advance.
• Live craft classes every Thursday and Friday (Recordings are available as well).
• Great for developing hand eye co-ordination and skills before attending preschool.
